How long have you been growing coffee and what got you started?
“Growing coffee we started more than 60 years ago. The motive to start this was to preserve coffee as part of the diversified ago ecology as it grows wild in Ethiopia.”
What is your favorite part of growing coffee?
“Our favourite part of growing coffee is seeing coffee grow in harmony and naturally in the forests of Ethiopia.”
Conversely, what is the hardest part of your job?
“The hardest part is its agronomic practices is to increase the existing poor yield performance varietals together with use and diversification of high yielding and disease resistance varietals and other technologies.”
What is unique about how you grow and harvest coffee?
“All coffee being grown as organic in absence of use of any in organic chemicals and fertilizers.”
What are your plans to continue improving quality?
“The first plan is introduction of high yielding and disease resistance varietials to replace and rejuvenate the prevailing old coffee trees in the area. That would subsequently bring about positive change in terms of productivity.”
