I honestly like this coffeemaker overall, but I do have a few quibbles with it...

• The glass feels a bit more thin and delicate than I would prefer for a utensil that will most likely see a lot of regular usage. It seems like a very good quality carafe, but it also feels like it might potentially break a bit too easily.
• I suppose I didn't look closely enough at the photo, but I was surprised to find that the gray collar is made from soft neoprene instead of a more rigid plastic or hard rubber as I was expecting. As a result, the collar is squishy and it freely rotates and slides around, making it a bit unwieldy to pour coffee from the carafe without touching a finger or two to the hot glass (and it does get quite hot...it is not Pyrex!). The neoprene is also stinky (*UPDATE: After a couple months' use and airing out, the neoprene is no longer stinky!)
• The carafe has markings for 10oz and 20oz, which I find extremely weird since those amounts don't correspond to anything relevant that I'm aware of (one cup is 8oz, all of my mugs are 12-14oz, and my thermos is 16oz). Then again, I don't actually need to measure out the water with the carafe anyway, as I do that with my kettle, so...a moot point!
• Lastly, the rubber grippy tab on the edge of the filter wasn't firmly attached in any way, instead just having been slipped on there. I added a couple of tiny drops of superglue inside the rubber tab so that it won't come off and go missing, but I find it odd that I needed to do that.

Apart from the above points, I really like the stainless steel filter. The flow rate is decent, I get clear, grit-less coffee with it, and it rinses out easily. The volume of the carafe is perfect for my solitary bachelor needs (like I said: 12-14oz mugs and a 16oz thermos), and it pours cleanly and looks nice to boot! I would rate it higher if not for those several areas where it could be improved, but at least it's also fairly priced!

Like the set up. Love the fine infuser great for making a couple of cups of coffee or enough for average travel mug.

We now use this with our new electric kettle. Pouring the water over the grounds may take a minute or so longer, but it's well worth it, and this carafe is perfect. I wash by hand and find it very easy to clean.
